My youtube setup (for people who trying to get into youtube)
Now ive been youtubing off and on for awhile now and i am getting back into things now that i have some time on my hands. Ive been getting asks whats my setup and how i use my stuff. Now before all i had was a camera and a laptop and thats all i really needed....now? man i WAS WAAAAAAAAAAAY BEHIND!!! So i will post all the things i use as of now
1. Webcam - Logitech C920
Reason why i went with this camera is because in the fighting game community streamers was going with this webcam for there footage and it is hands down the best webcam out right now...streams in 1080P With 15 megapixels for photos and a built in mic you cant go wrong with this webcam and it is usb 2.0 as well.
2. Tripod - Quantaray QSX 2001 UT Tripod
Now ive had this tripod for YEARS and it hasnt let me down. i can do almost everthing with it. i caught it on a deal when a store was closing for 15 bucks. when i checked to see how much it was retail i was amazed...it goes for 40 bucks (at the time) and i am glad i made this purchase.
3. Capturing device - Elgato HD60
Now before i was using the happauge PVR and the difference between these two are amazing! the fact that i can just plug my HDMI in and play and record my videogame footage with one click is pretty dope to me. the device can record xbox 360, xbox one, playstation 4 and soon the nintendo Switch. it also comes bundled with their own software called game capture HD.
4. Seagate 3TB external HDD
This thing is where i store all my footage, matches, etc ...i make backups of backups for just in case purposes. as of now i dont see myself upgrading to another size so for now this will do me justice for now...it has usb 3.0 as well and can run on us 2.0 too.
5. Microphone - Blue snowball
This usb microphone is pretty impressive to me. the sound come in very clear as well..using this with my C920 is pretty dope..its easy to setup as well some people use the yetti but i would perfer the snowball to start you off.
6. Monitors - Asus VH238H
Now i actually have three of these monitors but ive only setup one for now...these are the models we use at our tournaments...so when i am at home i can use the same thing we use at the events...its pretty lagless to me and the picture is just perfect.
7. lighting - Regular lamps
I bought a lamp years ago and u never used it until recently. i will upgrade to a better lighting situation but for now for what i have will just have to do.
8. Camera - Canon T3i
I just bought this camera to improve my Vlogs when i am on the go. sometimes i will use my google pixel but now i can use this without always having to use my webcam all the time. mines came with a 18-55 mm lens (kit lens) and just the charger. so far i am learning the ways of a DSLR.
So there you have it. my setup for youtube...
